Creating a Peaceful Holiday Season

Welcome to December~

It’s official, we’ve arrived at the final month of 2025 and I don’t know about you, but it feels a bit surreal to me. I hope that wherever you are, this finds you well as we begin the last month of this year. December often brings with it lots of plans, parties, and places to go and people to see. You may already have a list of things written down on a notepad or in your notes app about extra things you need to get done today. I hope that taking a few minutes to read this particular note will help to support you in remembering to make your personal peace a priority this month too.

When you think about enjoying a peaceful holiday season, what comes to mind for you? Maybe you have great memories that show up for you from previous years. Maybe for you it’s more of a feeling that you remember and want to recreate each year. Maybe it’s acts of service that make the season special for you. Maybe it’s the people, places, traditions, decorations, or special foods that really mark the moments for you during December. Maybe it’s a bit of everything but just the right amount of each so that you can actually be present and enjoy the experiences that you’re participating in while they’re happening. Whatever that perfect blend is for you this season, the big take away here is the combination of being present, enjoying the experience, and peacefulness. I know that it may not be possible to have all three of these at the same time; however, these are powerful intentions to set for your holiday season. If you’re experiencing a season that’s a bit different than you expected for whatever reasons, know that you can still create and experience a beautiful season in ways that resonate for you. Maybe in a few quiet moments today or tomorrow, you can check in with yourself to get clear on what aspects of this season are priorities for you this year. This doesn’t have to take a lot of time, in fact, you probably already have a good idea of what feels right for you. Taking a few extra moments while you have a cup of tea or coffee to set your intentions for the season can be a really powerful way to support yourself in creating the experiences that you really value this December.

I know that you already know this so please take it as a gentle reminder that this month is going to pass by very quickly; almost like a blink and another day is coming to a close, all month long. There’s a collective energy that tends to build and pick up speed as we arrive at the first day of December and you can feel it moving more and more quickly each day. With this knowledge, we can use this to support ourselves in remembering to make the most of the moments here and there each day as we move through this final month of the year. Choosing to take in the quiet moments in the morning or throughout your day. Enjoying the golden lights from decorations or the fireplace inside your home while the days become shorter and the evenings become longer. Listening to the quiet that comes from a very gentle rain or a soft snow outside your window. Enjoying the scent of mulling spices or your favorite simmer pot on the stove. All of these things and so much more are all part of what makes this time of year special, magical, and seasonal. Giving yourself permission to enjoy and invest in the aspects of the season that are special for you will help you to slow down and experience the season in the ways that resonate for you. Remember, it’s not possible to do everything, all the time, so go ahead and set that down and choose to say yes to the things that you want to do this December in the ways that are meaningful for you.

I’m wishing you and yours a very happy, healthy, and peaceful holiday season.
I look forward to working with you this month if you feel guided to schedule a session with me.

As always, I’m sending you love and support from my teeny tiny corner of the world, straight to you!

Thank you so much for being here, it means so much to me.
With deepest love and gratitude,

Kristy~xoxo

P.S. I’m planning on cozy socks, baking, hot drinks in festive mugs, and watching some favorite old movies as things I’m especially looking forward to and prioritizing this season. I’d love to hear some of the things on your list as well.
